Since 1996, Alex has served as Clinical and Management Director of the American Institute of Applied Psychology, HK Chapter, and has been providing organizational/clinical psychologist’s special vocational assessment services for the Society of Rehabilitation, Rotary Rehab., for adults and children (under the Hospital Authority) the Special Assessment Unit of the Health Department, special vocational assessment and training for the Society of Rehab. and Crime Prevention, and special vocational assessment and treatment as well as staff training for the Social Services governmental Depts. of Macau. At the present moment, Alex is providing psychological and educational consultation to the City University Professional Services and the Angels University, HK Campus as well as the HK Downs Syndromes Society.
Before Alex came back to Hong Kong from the United States, he served as a Community Awareness and Media Specialist for the Federal Government, and served many organizations in US, China, India, Japan, and Korean.
Alex received his training at Stanford University for Case Management as well as UCSF Medical School for clinical services form 1985-1990. He had also served under the Santa Clara County, San Francisco City and County clinics, Chinatown Youth Center, and San Francisco General Hospital and Family Services (Psychiatric Services).
Hundreds of Asian, Chinese children, and youth as well as their family members had been served under Alex’s assessment and treatment. The assessments included vocational, rehabilitation, placement, intelligence, personality, mental status, emotional, family crisis, environmental adaptability, and abnormal behavior.
During the last 30 years, while practicing as a professional forensic/ clinical psychologist and acted as an forensic expert witness in the US, Australia and Hong Kong High Court as well as District Court for more than 500 cases, Alex is well recognized by the authority as a leader in the field of forensic psychology.
