Hagai M. Segal is a UK-based academic, consultant and analyst, specialising in geo-strategic and economic risk, the Middle East and modern terrorism.

Segal has a long and impressive track record as a consultant, analyst and advisor to numerous banks, finance/investment houses, fund managers, international corporations, business groups and politicians. He specialises in analysis of geo-strategic and economic risk factors – specifically developments in terrorism, the Middle-East and Asia, and developments in US Foreign Policy - and how these factors affect key economic fundamentals, oil and gas price and security, and the global economy.

Segal additionally has become a familiar face as a keynote speaker at international corporate and industry conferences, each year addressing events such as the CLSA Investors’ Forum and Traders’ Forum, oil and gas conferences Sparks & Flames and Flame, and project finance conference Projects International. He continues to address Chapters and events of the business leaders groups YPO (the Young Presidents Organisation) and YEO/EO (the Entrepreneurs Organisation) across the globe.

In his academic role, Segal lectures in Near and Middle-Eastern Politics at New York University In London, has previously taught at the University of London, and guest lectures at Universities from the USA to Australia. A regular guest on national and international television channels (including CNN, the BBC, Sky News and CNBC), and numerous national and international radio stations, Segal also writes for a number of newspapers and publications around the world, including a regular column for the South China Morning Post (Hong Kong).

He has additionally participated in top-level Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.
