    Linda Yueh


    Linda Yueh is an economist and commentator on global economic issues.

    Linda is a particular expert on global economy, macroeconomics, globalisation, the Chinese economy, rise of emerging markets, advanced economies, international law and economic growth. She is considered one of the world's foremost experts on the Chinese economy. She is Director of the China Growth Centre at Oxford University which focuses on researching economic issues of relevance to China and the global economy.

    Linda is also a Fellow in Economics at the University of Oxford and a Visiting Professor at the London Business School. She is also a research associate of the Globalisation Programme at the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Linda has been chosen as one of the "Business Thinkers 50", and is regarded as one of the most respected business commentators in the world.  Lnda is a regular contributor to the BBC “World Business Report” programme on BBC 1 and BBC World News covering global economic, financial and business issues.

    Linda's next book, The Economy of China, will be published in 2010; it assesses the developments and prospects of the Chinese economy including its wider impact on the world economy.  She has served as a special advisor for the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Economist Intelligence Unit, and the Royal Institute for International Affairs (Chatham House), among others.  In 2008, Linda was appointed to the World Economic Forum’s newly established Network of Global Agenda Councils that will set the global agenda for the annual meeting in Davos, among others. She was also a member of the Experts Analysis Group (EAG) of the UK Government’s Horizon Scanning Centre’s project on UK Futures: Society and Economy 2030 for the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) and HM Treasury.
